My favorite process for my visual journaling practice is altering a book. For years I only used blank books or sketchbooks to contain my words combined with imagery, but now an altered book is my book of choice! With too many possibilities - you can alter just about anything that acts as a book, how do you choose? And how do you alter a book to make it your very own, and what are the best supplies to use? Initiation: first week: creating sacred space

one of the first things we do, of course, is choose a book as the container for our process. I've actually chosen 3 old visual journals that really need to be finished! And I did a sketch of my studio space to figure out what I really needed to enhance my creative environment...
